At TEDxRegensburg, we believe that ideas have the power to inspire, challenge, and transform.
If you have an idea that deserves to be heard, we invite you to bring it to our stage and give it a voice.
While we welcome speakers from everywhere, we’re especially excited about ideas that originate in and around Regensburg. By highlighting local changemakers, we aim to spark meaningful conversations in our community — while still connecting with the world.
Each year, we curate our lineup from an ever-growing pool of ideas.
Our official Call for Speakers usually opens in winter. The announcements will be shared here and on our social media channels.

What We’re Looking For

• Fresh perspectives: New, thought-provoking, and insightful ideas.
• Authentic passion: Talks that show real curiosity and enthusiasm for your topic.
• Storytelling over lecturing: TEDx talks are about connection and discovery, not lessons or pitches.
• Real stories: Success and failure both have value when they serve your idea.
• A clear journey: Take the audience from curiosity to insight without selling, promoting, or pushing an agenda.
Ideas that fit our stage:
• Groundbreaking or unconventional perspectives
• Bold, evidence-based insights
• Complex topics made accessible
• Stories that challenge common views
• Honest reflections on both failure and success
• Delivered with authenticity and a desire to inspire
Ideas that need another stage:
• Product or company promotions
• Talks centered on the speaker instead of the idea
• Purely motivational speeches
• Fundraising or recruitment appeals
• Topics already covered widely on other TEDx stage
• Political or religious agendas
• Pseudoscience
What Makes an Idea TEDx-Worthy
The best TEDx talks shift perspectives.
A strong idea challenges assumptions, inspires reflection, or opens a new way of seeing the world.

Preparing Your Talk
• Talks are max. 18 minutes. Shorter is often stronger.
• You must memorize your talk, no notes or reading on stage.
• Professional speakers: bring us something new and authentic, not a polished corporate talk.
• TEDx is for ideas, not self-promotion. The red dot is a space to share insights, not to market brands, businesses or personal projects.
